My brother is a huge Rockford Files Fan. If you are not familiar with the show my brother would say. ‘Well you ought to be!”

The Rockford Files is a mid 1970’s detective show that we watched re-reruns of in the 80’s when we were kids. My brother found the show and I watched with him on many occasion. I never got into it like he did, but it was definitely entertaining. For summary sake, the show is a detective show with a comedy spin. Humor always attracts me, so I could tell you about some episodes and nuances about the show.

In recent years my brother had been following the Rockford Files Fan page on Facebook and he knew the 50th anniversary of the show was coming up soon. He knew that in the past there were fan gatherings at special anniversary marks. For sure he thought they would be having a 50th celebration!

As the time had gotten closer to the date my brother began in inquiry as too when this would be taking place and who would be running it. Crickets. The fan base as you might guess is on the older side of the age gap. The folks who have been doing these events have done their time so to speak. It wasn’t going to happen. That is until…..

MY BROTHER STEPPED UP. My brother is now the coordinator for the 50th anniversary celebration of the 1970’s TV series THE ROCKFORD FILES.
