FUN FRIDAYS! – I Hope for You

“I Hope for You”

He was seven, just a boy,
When grief came in and stole his joy.
His father gone, too young to leave,
A house of silence left to grieve.

His mother stood, her hands so worn,
Two boys to raise, both bruised and torn.
She gave them all she had to give,
And still taught love, and how to live.

But pain runs deep and doesn’t hide—
It follows close, it walks beside.
Anger bloomed and claimed its throne,
And he grew up, yet felt alone.

Sex crept in at just the age of 8!
Soon to be followed by church molestation and rape.
The confusion swirled in his ill fate—
Yet, he chose to participate.

Therapy became his home,
A place where he could speak and roam.
His mind a storm he could not see—
The name they gave it: bipolarity.

His youth was fire, his teens were loud,
Rebellion wrapped him like a shroud.
And marriage, too, would feel the weight
Of wounds he carried, without a gate.

But then—A miracle came!
And with it, light. And with it, name.
I found the One who knew me whole,
Who saw the cracks and claimed my soul.

Jesus met me in the ache,
And let me know, we would soon celebrate.
He didn’t scold, He didn’t shame—
He called me loved, and knew my name.

Brick by brick, I built again,
With Grace, with tears, through loss and pain.
His wife stood strong through every trial,
Her love, unwavering all the while.

Friends of faith stood by his side,
They shared their truths, they did not hide.
And now he walks in peace, not fear—
God’s joy and flow are ever near.

So this he gives, his gift to you—
His story, scarred, but strong and true.
To show you what His love can do,
To walk with Christ and make it through.

I hope for you, through every fight.
I hope for you, in darkest night.
May Grace find you, just as she found me—
And set your captive Spirit Free.
