It’s been a minute. It’s been a minute since I felt Him. Up until this weekend, I cannot tell you when the last time that I felt Him took place. I just know it’s been a minute. This weekend, I got to feel Him.

It started with a story – a story I will share with you later this week. When I heard the story, I knew it was Him. There is no other explanation. You just know it is Him. Since I am saving that story for later, let me tell you how He Drives me, why I chase Him, and how He works:

This is how He Drives me.

Give Your Story exists because I am driven. I am driven by Him. This is the place where I can put on the chase. He showed Himself to me. I have witnessed His presence. He has touched me. He continues to show me. If I am quite honest about it, when I get to see Him, it gives me a rush. That is Why I do the job. That is Why I do what I do. Each time He touches me, each time I experience Him, I want more. So, I chase Him.  

I listen for Him. I seek Him. I look for Him in others. I look under rocks. I look everywhere.

Yes! I chase Him. I chase Jesus.

Maybe, you could call it replacement therapy. I used to chase money. I used to chase stuff. I used to chase dopamine hits from sex. I used to chase Bipolar hypo-mania events with give me more. Now I reject those responses, and instead, I chase Him. I thought the buzz from earthly feelings and emotions was out of this world? Let me tell You: When you experience God, He is FULL. I chase Him because I know it works. I chase Him because I know how He works.

I have to be ready. I have to be watching for Him. I have to be looking for Him. I have to be listening. I have to be ready.

This is how He works.

When He reveals himself to me, He speaks to me through others. He speaks to me through events. I get to witness Him. I get to see Him. I get to feel Him. When this happens, it gives me a rush. It doesn’t start in my head. Chills ride up my spine and expand across my brain and He shoots across my face. Then, my entire body is connected to Him. Maybe it’s only for a split second. Maybe it lasts longer. Maybe it is repeated over a series of time.  

It is unmistakable. You just know…It is Him.

When He speaks to me, when I feel Him, when I experience Him, there is nothing but good in the moment. Yes, I do want more. More of Him! What drives is the Hope that I receive when this happens. What drives is knowing that I am doing right. What drives is knowing that I am right. What drives is knowing that when I give more, he reveals more.

Yes, I want more of Him. And the answer to more, is Him. When I spread the Word, I am giving Him to YOU. When I give Him to YOU, We ALL get MORE. That’s the chase…

Would it scare you if I said, He gives US the Power? His Power! The Power to do His work. The Power to Spread His Word. The Power to Give someone Hope. The Power to battle the devil’s work: in addictions, in mental health conditions, in toxic Christian atmospheres, in the Nova for equality for women.  

I am in the fight. I am in the Spirit. I am within Him. I am with Him for YOU.

It’s going to take a minute.
