They Can’t Take Our Hope.

Who are they, you ask? People. Evil people.

Evil people oppose.
Evil people take.
Evil people interfere.
Evil people twist.
Evil people coerce.
Evil people are not accountable.

They oppose God.
They have taken from us.
They have interfered with our lives.
They have twisted the truth.
They have coerced the innocent.
They have not stood accountable.
But God is not finished!

Hope is our Anchor.

There is Hope.
They can not take our Hope!
Our Hope is Jesus.
He is the TRUTH..
Jesus is our eternal Hope!

Throughout the Bible, in the Old Testament there is Hope. There is Hope for a Messiah. It is foreshadowed as early as in

Genesis 3:15

God is speaking to the Serpent…

 And I will put enmity
    between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.

  1. The off spring of the woman ultimately points to Christ.
  2. The strike to the heel reflects the suffering of Jesus and His crucifixion.
  3. The crushing of the head represents the victory of Jesus and victory over sin and satan.

Just as humanity is at its lowest point, God reveals a plan of Hope to redeem us through Jesus.

In the New Testament:

Hope arrives in the birth of Jesus.
Jesus provided Hope in his victory over death.
Jesus offers hope and will come again.

Luke 2:10-12

“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:54–57

“Death has been swallowed up in victory.
Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?
But thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Matthew 28:20

After the resurrection, Jesus promises:

“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

No matter the circumstance, you are never alone. Hope is not just a future promise, it’s a present reality.

Revelation 1:17–18

“I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”

This shows Jesus not just escaping death, but owning the keys to it.

He WILL come again:

Revelation 22:12

“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me…”

This is one of the final statements in the Bible—Jesus Himself declaring it.

Jesus is our eternal Anchor of Hope!
