So what’s the deal?
Do you speak the truth or are you a liar?
If you are reading this, you know the TRUTH! And if you are a LIAR, and think you project the TRUTH to others, you are MOST LIKELY WRONG to believe they think you speak the truth! Further to your demise… GOD KNOWS THE TRUTH!
Quite a long time ago, in my 12-Step meeting for s3x addiction there was a group of guys getting sober from s3x addiction. Quite honestly, there was something about them I did not like. It took me a long time to figure it out. At the end of the day, I discerned that they were men trying to get sober by parroting a sober man in an unhealthy way. The man they were parroting was a Sponsor/Grandsponsor to many of these men. He was very sober and quite witty. The man was known as Lefty. He was also my Grandsponsor, except, my Sponsor did not act in the manner of this clicky group of men. Lefty had a lot of one-liners. I am most positive that some of my wit – specifically from the 12-Step rooms comes from this man. I am 100% sure this line comes from Lefty.

Philippians 1:15-18
15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

Even the Truth can come from a Liar
Before Lefty, there was another leader of the group. He committed suicide at 7 years “sober”. It makes you wonder about the root. Those men in that clicky group wanted something. They wanted sobriety. If you asked me, their method was wrong. Essentially, their message was: If you don’t get sober the way we do, then you are not sober. They had no idea that their twisted method of the truth was a lie to get them sober so they could eventually fail. Eventually the group disbanded. Some of them went back out. Some of them left in disgrace. Some got sober in other ways. I still talk to a few of them. The ones who grew up and towards the truth, have matured and realized their wrong. They have taken a twisted path and made it traight and they have flourished in their lives. That’s the Hope in all this.
Whatever happens, WE WILL STAND IN THE TRUTH OF JESUS.
7 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit,[a] striving together as one for the faith of the gospel 28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. 29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, 30 since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.
