Yes, I just admitted that I use AI! I use AI to assist me in creating quality posts for you. Here’s how:

A. Grammar and Spelling Checks

98% of the time, I put my posts through ChatGPT to check for grammar and spelling. Here’s why:

1. Typing Method: I don’t use the touch-typing method. I type using a unique, self-designed method that involves about 2.5 fingers on each hand. It’s not exactly hunt-and-peck, and it’s not something I could teach you. Despite the mistakes, I can type mostly without looking. LOL.
2. Grammar and Punctuation Knowledge: I don’t claim to know all the rules of proper punctuation and placement. I actually failed 10th-grade English and only learned what an adjective was in summer school. While I was initially resentful for failing with a 59 (yes, I failed myself, but the teacher could have helped a bit eh?), I’m grateful today because it allowed me to refocus and improve myself.

B. Content Enhancement

Occasionally, I ask ChatGPT to modify my content to make it more dynamic.

1. Enhancing Expression: This might be controversial, as I could technically ask ChatGPT to write a post for me, then copy and paste it onto the website. However, I don’t do that. That would be totally lame and unsatisfying. Sometimes, I write a paragraph with ideas I can’t express the way I want. This is where ChatGPT is helpful. I can plug in my words and get the desired expression. Sometimes, I even modify ChatGPT’s suggestions to better fit my thoughts.

In my defense, many website hosts, like WordPress, offer AI tools. While I have experimented with WordPress’s AI features, I typically do not use them.

I love writing. It’s a fun, healthy way to express myself. I believe God is blessing me with this path as a method of doing His will. I do need help to minimize time impact.

Why I Use AI

Here are a couple more reasons I use AI:

• Time-Consuming Process: Blogging is time-consuming. I spend many hours writing because I care deeply about what I put out for you to read. My goal is to offer hope in your journey with Christ and convey the correct message. I absolutely do not want to put out any harmful messages. AI reduces the time I spend on corrections and editing, helping me convey the proper message.
• Post-Editing: After writing, it’s time to post, which can also be time-consuming. I have to find a picture that matches my vision, then I get new thoughts and edit again. The process often involves multiple rounds of writing, editing, and then editing again, then editing again after posting. Most posts are typically a 2-hour commitment.  However, for example, this post took me five hours to put together and post.  (Arousal, Desire & Beauty. What do you see?)

Today, I used WordPress AI to generate a featured picture for this post and reorganized it using ChatGPT to improve readability.  It also edited my headings which I did not ask it to do but I went with it.
