Tell it Tuesday – My Voice of Hope

Today I wanted to give you my voice of hope.

Here is the transcript for those who prefer to read:

I have been talking to you about hope for the past almost year and half. What is Hope? It is a desire for something positive with confidence and belief that it will happen in the future, even when faced with challenges.

I Give You my Story in Hope that you will find encouragement in my past and current struggles with who I am and what I represent today. That Hope is Jesus.

Maybe it’s addiction you battle or Maybe it’s mental health. Maybe you have physical health issues, maybe you are in an abusive marriage. Maybe your church has caused you harm with toxic messages. Maybe you are oppressed by male domination in their quest to grab power over women at work, in the church, or your marriage.

Whatever your difficulties are, we all share a common thread. That is our stories. Our stories provide identification of our weaknesses and our strengths. From this we can draw Hope.

Hope for peace and contentment that we can make the right choice in our battle with addiction. Hope that we can find Jesus on our path with our struggles with mental health. Hope that we can overcome toxic messages that may have been spread in our church. Hope that men will lay down their quest for power over women and stand up and help woman be their equal just like Jesus.

What kind of messiah are we hoping for? One that delivers us immediately from our troubles and trials? Or A Jesus that humbles us into understanding that the Hope is trusting in Him and His timing for our redemption.

Thank you for being here with me here @ Give Your Story

I Hope for you.
