Do they Say the Same Thing? – Different Figures

We have been talking about interpretation this week and it definitely feeds into my Different Figures Series. As, I work through the numbers, the easy ones to start with are 1 , 2, 3. Gosh, did we wear that one out?  What do I mean?

Well, it’s kind of how I found my way to Give your Story. Let me explain. 1, 2, 3 is the foundational slab. Three is for the Trinity. That is a pretty easy one. Christian’s know that the Trinity(3) is the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. That has to be the easiest well-known Christian number, besides One. Oh, wait now I am saying One is easy too? Well Yeah, I mean what is the first(1) Commandment?

Exodus 20:3

“You shall have no other gods before[a] me

Now – some of you might think I am crazy, but there sure are lot of 3’s in the reference to 1.  Does 3=1? I think it does – as it aligns with Jesus and the Trinity. One is actually all 3. Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

So, are you saying my math is off? I mean, how can 1=3. That is just plain wrong math Phil. Well, it is! In this world! Which bring same to the fact that there are two 3’s in the references to 1 and 3. Go ahead, look back. It’s there. I didn’t make it up. That’s the beautiful part about math. There is also a 2 and a zero in there but ignore that for a second, I don’t want to confuse anyone. There is more than one way to get to the answer. Again, we go back to is Phil is crazy here? One might ask, “Are you sure you are not in Bipolar land?” Well, I am sure today. However, Bipolar land is also the work of the Devil. That is Spiritual warfare. Although, God has already one, God is present with you in your spiritual battles as well. You and God and-Well, that = 2. There are nuances to these numbers – just like when we read scripture.

The number 2 in the bible classically has the meaning of union or division or verification of facts by a witness. That’s 3 meanings in one number! I like the fact that the Son is the second part of the Trinity. It actual follows worldly logic. 1,2,3!

I have to believe that as many of you read this, you are thinking Phil, “You are going Left and Right and you are all over the place!” and/or “This is just a bunch of mumbo jumbo!” and makes zero sense. And my response to you is – YES! In this world. However, God is Full of mysteries. We don’t get to explain them all. We are just given some of the answers. Other answers are left for another time. That’s the hope.

1 Corinthians 2:7 NIV

No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.

Let me also remind you of the Gifts.

There are three spiritual gifts lists in Scripture (Romans 12:6–81 Corinthians 12:4–11; and 1 Corinthians 12:28)

God’s mysteries provide us hope and he gives us love to keep the hope flowing. For me the hope God provides keeps my flame burning to continue to do His work of Spreading the Word in the name of Jesus.

Dear, Mr Treon. Nope – I didn’t do well in your Math class. While I will say you were a nice guy, except for that “You must be in your seat to be counted as present” law, I have other choice words for your teaching methods. However, today I will just ask: “How do you like my Math now?” It’s in the Book!

(You can read about Mr. Treon Here: It’s Time. – Different Figures)

I hope you like todays post! I am going for 4!

My friend Jackie will have the last word today.

Until next time…
