These last couple of months have been harrowing at best. The attacks on the Physical, Emotional & Spiritual well being of me and my family have been near constant. I am tired. I am exhausted. I am wondering what’s next. I am praying for peace.
I think I have enough material to write several books at this point. The latest is crime scene tape at the top of my driveway, marking the spots where bullet shells fell to the ground, from a shooting that took place at my neighbors house last night. Like, are you freakin kidding me?
Attacks come in the form of:
- Temptation
- Deception
- Accusation
- Confusion
- Oppression
- Fear
As Christians, we defend ourselves to these attacks with God’s Hope:
- Truth
- Righteousness
- Faith
- The Word of God
- Prayer
Then we leave the rest to Him.
Romans 8:35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[j]
37 No, (emphasis mine) in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
