Jesus came to CHANGE THE ORDER! This week is Holy week and of course this Sunday is Easter! We have been expanding on a 26 point summary of the Bible that my friend Jerry gave me way back in 2012. We have gotten to the 9th point in the summary, Law Spoken. The next point is, Tablet Broken. However! It is quite appropriate to change it up and take the JESUS ORDER. So instead of progressing to our 10th point in order, I am CELEBRATING EASTER with you by switching the order to the Easter Point – Third Morn.

The Story
Third Morn – HE HAS RISEN! HE HAS RISEN INDEED!
You can’t really talk about the Resurrection of Jesus on the Third Morn without talking about the arrest of Jesus, the trial of Jesus, and His Crucifixion and death.
The Resurrection on the Third Morn only makes sense when you look at the events that happened before it. Even then, the story moves through a series of events that seems to be terribly out of order – at least from a worldly perspective.
The ONE who healed the sick was arrested like a criminal.
The ONE who spoke the TRUTH was placed on trial with false accusations.
The ONE who was the promised King was nailed to a cross.
The ONE who brought LIFE was put to death.
It looked like the story had completely fallen apart…
What looked like total disorder to the world, was the unfolding of God’s perfect plan.
The cross came before the crown.
The grave came before victory.
The darkest moment came just before dawn.
Only after the arrest, after the unjust trial, after His gruesome suffering and death, could the full power of the resurrection be revealed.
What seemed out of order was actually divine order, because sometimes God allows things to look like the end of the story, when actually it is the beginning of something new. NEW ORDER.
Mathew 28:1-10
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”
And so it was – OUT OF ORDER. In a society where men held all positions of authority and leadership, God entrusted the GREATEST NEWS EVER to those who cultrurlay speaking, held least authority.
Early on the Third Morn, it was women that went to the tomb.
Early on the Third Morn, it was women who discovered the stone rolled away.
Early on the Third Morn, it was women who encountered the Angel who spoke to them.
Early on the Third Morn, it was women that learned that death had been defeated.
Early on the Third Morn, it was women who were first to witness the Resurrection of Jesus.
Early on the Third Morn, it was women who were first to carry the message.
Early on the Third Morn, it was women who were first to declare the TRUTH that would change the world.
Early on the Third Morn, it was women who were first to declare IN ORDER:
JESUS HAS RISEN! HE HAS RISEN INDEED!
