Have you ever asked yourself, why am I suffering?
This is an important question to ask, because you matter. This question also requires good discernment. When we ask the question, “Why are we suffering?”, don’t ask, what suffering can I endure? Ask, What is Jesus asking from me right now? So let’s get into it.
Healthy Living versus Suffering with Jesus.
- What is the source of my suffering?
- The Yes
- Faith In Christ.
- Love rooted in truth.
- The No
- Silence to protect someone’s sin
- Endurance of fear and guilt
- The Yes
Jesus never asks us to protect what he came to heal.
- Is my suffering producing Good Fruit?
- The Yes
- Love
- Joy
- Peace
- Patience
- Kindness
- Goodness
- Faithfulness
- Gentleness
- Self-Control
- The No
- Fear
- Confusion
- Loss of voice
- Anxiety
- Shrinking self
- The Yes
If the Fruit does not match the Love of Jesus, re-evaluate.
- Am I being called to Obedience or Erasure?
- The Yes
- Am I allowed to speak the truth?
- Am I allowed boundaries?
- Am I seen as fully human?
- The Yes
Obedience Refines.
Erasure diminishes.
Jesus restores our Identity not dissolves it.
Suffering with Jesus is not an easy task. Suffering is difficult. It hurts. It is painful. We want to lash out. We feel like lost sheep. We grieve. We want vengeance. We feel like we are losing. We want Justice! However, God has a plan. Our part of the plan is obeying Him, and allowing Him to fight the battle He already WON. Our job is to endure and obey to receive His Grace and grow in His WORD as we MOVE closer to HIM. God’s part of the plan is His unknown. His Purpose. His calculated LOVE he wants us to receive.
In order to do this, we must have good understanding of the discernment of Jesus in,
Our Faith.
The Truth.
HIS LOVE.
I hope you got what you needed.
And… That’s Why it Matters!
