How do you feel about yourself today?

SHAME – PRESSURE – CONTROL

Do your actions feed the shame, or do your actions exude love?
Are you being influenced by others to take actions that you wouldn’t normally take, but you do it anyway because you want to fit in and you want to be accepted?
Is your world closing in?
Are you being used like a pawn so others can get what they want?
Are you being pigeon-holed?

SHAME

Romans 8 – Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus
Shame thrives when we live outside of the truth of Christ.

John 3:20 – Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.
Shame hides in darkness.

PRESSURE

Galatians 1:10 – Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Your sphere of influence does not represent Jesus but rather it is for the purpose of fitting in.

CONTROL

2 Timothy 2:26 – And that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
Without awareness, people can become spiritually manipulated.

2 Peter 2:19 – They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.”
False labels, following sin, and expectations of others can enslave identity.

OR HOPE

TRUTH – LOVE – FREEDOM

Do your actions speak truth, and you are confident that they exude love?
Do you reject negative influence by others that feeds sin by practicing Jesus first? – Regardless of your social circumstances?
Is your world full of life and energy – full of love?
Are you being empowered to make your own decisions?
Are you being freed to define yourself?

TRUTH

1 Corinthians 15:33 – Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
The truth speaks for itself.

Galatians 5: 22-23 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
The results – THE FRUIT – speak the TRUTH.

LOVE

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is your everything.

John 13:34 – 35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Love is your everything.

FREEDOM

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Your life is full and you are free.

John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
JESUS SETS US FREE.
