Want to see a great example of owning your mistakes? This week we have been talking about ownership of our mistakes. It's not easy to do. Its hard to face the truth. Especially when it's ugly. We want to look at everyone else. We want to stick the blame on others. The sad thing? Many …

As Jesus prepared for His departure, He knew the disciples would experience His absence as a loss. Therefore, He gave them something to carry. Jesus left His disciples with love, peace, hope, truth and the promise of His continued presence through the Holy Spirit.  …And there is hope and love.  Do you know how many …

Truth Doesn’t Disappear

On June 24, 2026 By Phil MessingerIn Principles, TruthLeave a comment

I believe God has wired EVERYONE with a conscience that points towards Him - THE TRUTH.  I believe that people know more truth than they are willing to admit, and sin teaches us how to evade the truth.  Can you make the truth disappear? Will the truth ever go away?  A few weeks ago I …

GIVE YOUR STORY - It Can Be Someones Hope.

Sometimes the story of how you made it through can help someone else believe they can make it through too.

I am Phil. I created Give Your Story because I've learned that our stories matter. Not because they're perfect. Because they're real.

If you're interested in Giving Your Story of Hope, you can email your story to Phil@giveyourstory.com following the provided story sharing guide below.

Story Giving Guide

Story Giving Guide: Your story can be about any topic. For your story to be considered it should include what happened, how you overcame the experience, and what it is like now. Your story can be submitted in a short paragraph or you can give more detail. Please keep your story to a 5 minute read (approximately 1000 words) maximum. This is a safe place to share your story. You may submit your story anonymously if you choose. Obscene words if part of the story may be altered or obscured. Negative feedback to a story of hope will not be tolerated. If your story is considered for post it may be edited for spelling, grammar, content and length. Thank You.

The purpose of Give Your Story is to create a safe space where individuals can share their personal stories, providing experience, strength and hope, to others facing life's challenges. The goal is to foster a community of support and inspiration through the sharing of stories that include what happened, how the person overcame the experience, and what life is like now. We can leverage the power of our stories to help others. While each person's story is unique, many of us share common threads. When someone shares their story, it often leads to identification, validation, and connection. The power of storytelling goes beyond personal reflection; it can provide motivation for change and offer solutions to similar situations. When you give your story, you offer someone HOPE. Together we can inspire hope in others, utilizing not only my own story but yours as well. By giving your story, we can collectively grow for the better. This platform encourages positive engagement and offers the option for anonymous submissions to ensure a secure environment.
