Marching On!

This weekend I had an awesome conversation with a friend. Maybe you are getting to know him around here, as I have referenced him before…  He was my Lone Commentor here: I am Celebrating.  Our discussion provided us both with awesome insightful answers that helped us both with our journey with Jesus.  It was a powerful discussion about Faith, Fruit, Gifts and what the before and afters look like.  He really helped me with the information I needed to continue and develop Collective Connections.  Thank you, Stephen,!  Before we left, I mentioned to Stephen that I wished that we had recorded our conversation.  Then I asked Stephen to make sure he remembered everything we just went over.   I was fearful I would forget something that we talked about and I wanted his memory of all this as. Aback up. Stephen’s reply?  “Oh Phil, don’t count on my memory, you know how terrible my memory is.”  We hugged and parted ways and let me tell you how excited I was from our conversation:

On my way home, I realized – wait a second – Here is what I love about Stephen the Jesus follower.  When we talk, Stephen can bring scripture to the table for me.  What do I mean?  He knows scripture quite well and can apply the topic to specific verses or specific bible stories. On SPOT!  How does he do this?  MEMORY!  Stephen my friend, your memory is just fine!  LOL.  (I am coming for you Brother! You are a great soldier!)

When information is coming in from a conversation like we had, my brain is latterly firing off in excitement.  I am going to give you an example of what happens to my brain when I get excited.  I do believe it has to do with being a bipolar guy who hangs out in the upper realms of mania known as hypomania.  Here is the example in short story drama form:

Stage 1.  Music is the opening.  Then they you are sitting in the middle of it all.  There is a Mission.  Eat all the dots you can as fast as you can without getting ghosted!  Does everyone know what I am talking about?  Some of us have played this game so many times we have a pattern to defeat the enemy.  So, we push the Yok left and right and the ghost chases us as we devour the dots.  There is this noise that goes with all these actions.  The ghosts make. Anoise, the dots make a noise as we are being chased.  Sometimes if we hit our pattern just right, we can loose em in a tunnel.  But they always fine you or they send aminion to get you when you come out the other side. You rush towards the power for help and then once you eat the BIG dot.  You now have the power.  There is more noise! But – You can now go do away with the ghosts!.  The more you eat the more you gain.  You want to eat them all, so you get more points, but it also gives you time.  Time to go get the rest of the dots so you can finish the stage.  But wait!  There is a Cherry to go get.  AND – throw out the pattern! Who cares!  Just get the Cherry and screw the dots!  Now the ghosts have been replenished and you need to run again.  Your power has subsided until the next time.  Just go get the rest of the dots!  Whew we made it1. Then what do we do?  THANK GOD!  LOL

Ok for any younger folks reading here if you didn’t get the short story, we just played a game of PAC-Man.  However, bad news – Stage 2 happens much faster and although you know what you are supposed to do, things get crazier.  That is my brain except I am on the Key and we just started.  There are 255 levels of Pac-Man.  It does have an ending.  To many that is sad.  Because, what would you do after 255 levels?  Well there is always Ms. Pac-Man!

We March.  That is what we do.

WE MARCH IN HOPE!   JESUS DOES THE REST!
