8-16-24 Prayers for Leslie’s family and friends – Leslie passed on Sunday 8-12-24. She was my kids guidance counselor. She was the BEST Counselor we have ever encountered in our parenting adventures with the public school system. We nominated her for teacher of the year – I wrote an essay on behalf of our family. Well it didn’t happen that year but the following year she was recognized as teacher of the year. She battled pancreatic cancer for a couple years. We selfishly recognize she left a huge hole in this world. What a lady. We will celebrate her life today at the service.
8-16-24 A little girl named Vivian – She is about 3 years old I believe. She had an accident that broke her leg. From what I understand at this point she is not in pain but rather enjoying being a queen on the couch being served….but her cast needs to be changed out sooner than later to fiberglass as her current cast is super heavy and probably weighs more than her….
8-16-24 Wayne Update – They capped Wayne’s trach and they gave him apple sauce and ice chips, He is breathing through his mouth and nose. He is set for a CT scan to check progress on his pancreas.
8-15-24 Wayne has been speaking through his trach voice box but is still lucid to some degree. His infection is back again and as we have learned – this will be the case until he is healed. We should see expected back and fourth infection due to his esophagus sloughing off. The bad news is Wayne’s insurance is about to stop paying until he is moved to another care facility. We need prayers for this to be able to happen soon. Shirley has been making Sunday school and church which we are so happy she is back!
8-15-24 I finally got to talk to my friend Donna from my old job. Her husband passed about a week after I talked to her last. He had been battling pancreatic cancer. She told me the story and the good news is he was never in any real pain and it happened quickly – meaning July 4th to July 7th was how quick he lost function and mobility to his peaceful passing. His family was with him. Donna will retire Nov 1 and her employer is in aquandry right now with many players out with cancer and other illnesses. They are trying to get her to stay. I told her if she needed a support person to encourage her to retire and never return please call me..haha. Prayers for her peaceful retirement for both herself and her hsuband who did not get a chance to retire.
8-15-24 I would like a prayer for a friend. I am having communication issues with a friend. I am not sure what to do about it as I need to step carefully. We live in the days where people want to resolve their issues over text, email and the internet. Voice inflection and body language are so so important. I just wish we could get together and chat. I think it would clear things up. I am hopeful for this meeting sooner than later. But if not…it should work out when we do finally meet up. Appreciate your prayers here.
