I Want to Be your Heart. – Collective Connections

The Body has many parts. In Romans 12:4-8, Paul compares our body to the Body of Christ:

Romans 12:4-8 NIV

For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

I Want to Be Your Heart.

I want to help you heal. You are required to Obey Him. You have to find Faith on your own. With Faith and work, the Fruit of the Spirit becomes evident and God will bless you with the Gifts. Then you must spread the word.

How do you fit in?

I Want to Be Your Heart. I want to help you heal.

Did you know that some people have triggers that set them off? I admit that recently, I have had a short fuse with people in my family. My response to their attitude and disrespect for others/me within our family is a big trigger for me. Unfortunately, I respond in negative angry ways. I do not like this about myself. We are supposed to be in Love!

Did you know that some people have triggers from their past, such as certain music in a church? Trust me when I tell you, I get it. We, however, must do the work to overcome these triggers. The triggers are real agitators, aren’t they?

Take Heart!

You have been hiding and while you do tell us about it, you never let it show.

Always trying to keep it under control.

The Problem?

You got it down and you’re well on the way to the top!

But there is something you forgot.

What about Love?

Love is the answer to these triggers. What are they? I want to be your heart. I want to help you heal.

The heart of Paul is revealed in a letter to the Galatians, when he continues to spread the word:

Galatians 1:11-12 NIV

11 I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. 12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

Inside Paul is Love. Agitators/Triggers within Galatia quickly became challenged by Paul’s leadership and the foundation of his teaching.

Paul responds with a loving heart to the Galatians by Giving his Story of how he got to where he was when he first preached the gospel and what is most important. New Creation- Jesus.

He closes his letter with Love.

Galatians 6:17- 18 NIV

17 From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.

I Want to Be Your Heart.
