Surrounded with Jesus

What do you do when you are caught in conflict? What do you do when you get gas lighted? What do you do when the outcome of a situation is not exactly what you wanted?

Often, we do not know how to respond in the heat of the moment.
Often, it feels like it didn’t go to well.
Often, it feels like a loss.
Often, it feels like a failure.

What do you do with that?

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NIV
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

I admit, I got the last part down. “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Boast about it? Delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties? Nah, I am not so sure about all that. I am certainly not there yet. However, I do understand this:

We must Surround with Jesus.

Jesus is the Power, yet in a worldly view, He was weak. There are a ton of examples of this in the Bible. One example beside the obvious; Jesus submitting to death on a cross and rising from the dead, is choosing humility when He could have chosen power.

Would you take an insult from a jerk, for someone else?
Would you submit to being embarrassed, for someone else?

Would you accept defeat in the name of Victory?

Most of us would not. Yet, Jesus did.

And He has shown me.
And I have experienced the Spirit.
And I have witnessed His Word.

And I know what WE have to do.

Surrounded with Jesus.
